Xiaomi New HyperOS Is Coming to India This Month

Xiaomi is gearing up to unveil its newest operating system, HyperOS, in India shortly. Additionally, the company has just debuted the Xiaomi 14 Series at the Mobile World Congress 2024.

Xiaomi has shared that it’s bringing its new operating system, HyperOS, to India on February 29, according to a recent tweet from Xiaomi India. This new OS will work not just on smartphones, but also on smart home gadgets and even cars.

In case you missed it, Xiaomi recently showed off its SU7 car equipped with HyperOS at the ongoing Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. Alongside, the company unveiled its top-of-the-line products like the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and Tab 6S Pro, all running on HyperOS based on Android 14.

Additionally, Xiaomi has disclosed the lineup of devices that will receive HyperOS, which might also apply to Xiaomi devices in India. Let’s take a look at the list.

HyperOS : Features

For those who may not be aware, HyperOS made its debut in October 2023 as a replacement for MIUI. It’s built on Linux and Xiaomi’s self-developed Vela platform, which is an open-source system based on the NuttX real-time operating system. HyperOS is lightweight, capable of managing resources efficiently, and adaptable to different device setups.

This new operating system, HyperOS, brings enhanced connectivity and multitasking features. It incorporates the MiSans font system for users worldwide, introduces a fresh UI design, utilizes AI for integrating connected devices through HyperMind, and offers various other improvements.

Moreover, Xiaomi is getting ready to release the Xiaomi 14 in India on March 7, already equipped with HyperOS.. Expectations for the Xiaomi 14 include Leica-supported cameras, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, rapid 90W charging, and more. However, there’s currently no information available regarding the possible release of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra in India.
